What To Expect

Overview

Your summer on Next Step Staff will start out with a bang as you join over 70 other college staff at training week in Wisconsin. During this jam-packed week you will have plenty of time to get to know your new teammates while you go through training on your position, community, and program details.

As training week wraps up you will pile into your Next Step van and head out to meet your community. Your team will have a week on site to prepare your facility and work projects and get settled in. Then before you know it, mission trips will start. You and your team will have the opportunity to lead eight straight weeks of mission trips. Your groups will arrive every Sunday and depart every Saturday. You will have Saturday to relax and recoup and then get ready to do it all over again Sunday. Each team will consist of between 50-100 high school students.

There is no hiding that this is an intense summer. Not much down time, not many breaks. But if you are serious about missions and developing yourself into an awesome leader for God’s Kingdom, this position is for you.

Schedule

June 1-6: Training- Madison, WI
June 6-10: Onsite training and set up
June 11-August 5: Lead 8 mission trips
August 6: End of the year banquette
