Middle School Students
Middle school trips provide an energetic and fun atmosphere where students are introduced to the word of Jesus Christ through an incredible week of service work and worship.
Students participate in work projects that are matched to their skill levels, yet still are challenging and fulfilling. While on the site, students are exposed to people and cultures different than their own, helping them gain a better understanding of the racial, social and economic differences that make up our world.
Most importantly, our trips teach students the significance of helping others by putting their faith into action.
High School Students
High school trips challenge students to take the next step in their faith, whether that is committing or recommitting their lives to Jesus Christ, or deepening their personal relationship with him, students leave the week with a new sense of what it means to be a Christian in today’s world.
In addition, students are given the opportunity to work on truly meaningful work projects that challenge them physically and emotionally. When we send students to a location, they aren’t only helping to rebuild communities, but they are working to alleviate real social injustices. In that way, the efforts of our students resonate beyond their individual work projects and affect an entire community’s way of life.
This change doesn’t occur from simply painting a house; it comes from building a home. Our work projects focus on meaningful construction projects. Whether it is adding a bathroom on a resident’s house, constructing a multi-building camp, or in one extreme case, building an entire community, our high school students are doing real work and making real changes.
College Students
Our college trips are an awesome opportunity for students to go on a life-changing mission trip with their friends, but without all the structured programming that makes up a large portion of our trips for younger students. Students have the freedom to explore how Christ is working in their lives and in the communities they are helping.
Evenings are spent exploring the community in which they are working in and talking with its residents, giving our students a chance to better understand the foreign culture and share their Christian testimony.
Like our other trips, students will spend the majority of the week working on physically demanding construction projects that aim to address and solve real problems facing these communities. Whether it is rebuilding a decaying camp for children and adults affected by AIDS, or constructing a camp to educate missionaries how to spread the gospel throughout the Native American villages of Alaska, our college students are working on important projects that are producing real changes.
