Year after year, the Bible continues to be the best seller with billions of copies printed over the years. Most Americans know that the Bible is the best selling book of all time, but few people realize it's also the best-selling book of the year. Not just this year, but also every year. According to calculations from The New Yorker, Americans purchased an estimated 25 million Bibles last year. That's twice as many as the most recent Harry Potter book.
Many people assume that the Bible is a book of stories and teachings about perfect people. However, anyone who opens up this book will find out that the only perfect person in the Bible is Jesus. All of the other characters in the Bible make mistakes and are imperfect just like you and me. We can read their stories and learn from their lives. The Bible is written by many different authors. There are stories from the rich, the poor, teachers, prophets, Jesus, and more. The Bible is God's word as stated many times, and it can reach and touch all people. It can be applied to every circumstance, every relationship, and help you make every choice.
