The Bible tells us our history

Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created heaven and earth.

The very first thing we read in the Bible is that God created heaven and earth and everything inside of it, including humans. God brought everything into existence out of nothing. History plays a very important part in our humanity, not only because it gives us details about the past but also because it can tell us where we came from. The Bible is full of the history of God’s people from the popular stories of Noah and his ark to the stories of the Israelites to the beginning of the Christian church.

Take the Next Step

It is important that we look at our history and see how it points to our future. Not only how we should live on a day to day basis but also the end times and specifically Christ’s return. We need to make sure that we are ready for we do not know the time of His return. Knowing our history will greatly help us so that we can learn from mistakes people have already made. There’s the famous saying, those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it.
